Sonography

I accompanied my fiancee one day, she was going to get her father  a check up. He was experiencing pain in his stomach, their family though it was some kind of ulcer but my fiancee decided to get profession advice. I was expecting we will go to a hospital and have an internist conduct a check up but I was surprised to know that we were actually going to a clinic with ultra sound. I used to think that ultra sound was used for expectant women , but I tag along instead. She knows better, it is her father. In the examination room there was a certification that the ultrasound technician had a training received at a certified school and met national certification requirements. I did not realize back then that sonographer plays such an important part in the examination  procedure. While the examination was going on, my fiancee who is the undergoing a medical assistant training, told me that ultrasound is not only usable for diagnosis, but it can now be used for the treatment and prevention of certain medical conditions as well. And at the moment the health care industry is in need of qualified, responsible and well trained sonorapher from well known ultrasound schools. They basically use a device that finds the healthy and the damaged part inside the patient, they will then record the image for further diagnosis by the physician. My fiancee has chosen to have her father be ultrasound first because it is a non-invasive technology and its ability to capture such detailed images.She learned all this in her training and the family physician advised her to do so. Later we found out after the doctor interprets the recording, that her father was actually suffering from first stage colon cancer. Though the family was deeply sadden, they are very thankful that they learned about it early.
