After 15 years, we are finally closing the chapter of our education. The moment we have been waiting for has finally arrived. Soon we will part ways and head towards different directions. After a period of time, some of us will be highly successful while others less fortunate but whatever it may, we will surely miss the youthful laughter we shared together, the sorrows and tears we had, the frown of our patient, teachers and most of all our dear alma matter.

Let us keep in mind that graduation is not just an end but is also a beginning. An end to five years of college education but a beginning of more challenges in life. We must face these challenges with courage and sheer determination. We must work hard if we really want to succeed. One of my professors said, “There are no shortcuts in life, the better things are earned the hard way”.

Let me end with one of my favorite quotations from “Destiny is not matter of chance, it is a matter of choice. It is not a thing to be waited for, it is to be achieved.”

A prosperous businessman driving along the highway collided with a truck. He was hospitalized for some weeks and was on the mend. In the meantime, his wife had received half a dozen letters of condolence from people who had heard that she had lost her husband. She was upset because he was very much alive.

She gave her husband the letters to read and one thing struck him. There was hardly a word in them about him: everything was difference whether he was around or not. ” It made him think”.
